Today a new Shareaza client has been released and it's has caused our small previously perfect running share group some hassles. The main problem has been people seeing each other.
The fix, all members should have their clients force into a hub mode. Here is what to do, go to "Settings/Networking" and tick, "Force this node to be a HUB". then in the same area in "G2 Protocols", set the number of, "Hub to Hub" connection, to "50". After this a client restart is needed to kick into gear the changes.
It seems the new client is treating Hub and User much differently then before.
March the 1st. New Client, New Problems.

Another issue that has been noticed is that the DCache seems to be auto queried less when in Hub mode than the previous client version, so I have extended to expire times for IP's in the dcache. Once you are floated in to the share network, you will discover users from there. This will increase security from outsiders even further but will limit people who do not act as hubs in small share groups.
It would have been ideal to have experimented before going to the new client but with happenings, it was more or less forced.
