Well:

If they keep it simple, bundle good office applications and make it better than XP for gaming it might just work.

If not, then I'm sticking with XP.

They should just give it a symbol like Prince or the artist formely know as Prince, what's in a name anyway......

Well the rumors are that it will be a platform for subscription based services.

What that means is that everything that runs on the OS will be subscription including the OS itself.

If thats true then I for one don't want anything to do with it.

...I've been looking for a good reason to go Li/Unix. Only reason I'm still running XP is the fact that most games wont run natively in Li/Unix.

I have actually considered that...but backing up and reformatting at this point is too much like work.

There's plenty of good disk imaging software around than can copy your data quickly and easily. Or you could always get a second HDD.. It's really not that difficult to do.

As for backing up... you don't back up? :shock: Good luck!
