Big News at Shareaza Dot Com

On Tuesday there is going to be major news of a beta client that will allow two networks.

Some are saying DC/Shaz (this wouldn't be a bonus since it's server based and with tassie's new piracy police task force, it's too risky) others are saying, eDonkey compatible. I will wait and see.

http://www.shareaza.com/

Welcome to Shareaza.com, home of the premiere P2P program. A BIG change is coming to Shareaza this week with 2 new networks. The full website will return soon.

The new version coming, 1.9.0.0 has always been touted as the Chat Room/Friends List version. Lets hope this is as good as it seems.

Recently users in the local group have been discussing if it's time to stop support for local sharing since most are planning to move to unlimited DSL and others reasons like, Netspace IT problems, DC users lack of tech knowledge so as to move off their current client, and users leaving Netspace.

If this coming client version doesn't bring a big bonus then I will be stopping my support and will be turning on world data on my Shareaza client. I will still dev for the dcache and still keep it running, but I will stop promoting Shareaza locally on here.

Sorry I read wrong,

Shareaza 1.9 will offer access to two additional P2P networks

Other words it will support two extra networks other than Gnutella. I've been told on Shareaza Dev IRC chats that it's a total of 4 networks.

This is exciting, can't wait.

As usual, Porkster, unsubstantiated statements.

Actually, the fact that DC users don't want to move from a working network to a buggy, poorly configured network indicates that their level of tech knowledge is just fine.

Please try to remember, Porkster, that it's Shareaza that is having the network problems, not DC.

BTW, I'm still waiting on you producing evidence of Netspace asking you to help fix their problems, your letter from the developer of "traceroot", and links to demonstrate the overseas inplementation copies of your Shareaza configuration. Of course, I won't get any such evidence, because it doesn't exist.

You never fail to keep up your ignorance. No you’re the one that doesn't understand how GNUtella works and therefore make wrong statements.

Hmm, Netspace is general losing customers for its bad setup. It's becoming the worse DSL in Tasmania. DC had 55 users, now I hear it's about 35. Shareaza group had about 15 users now has about 5. The problem in number drops is across the board like in what I said, IT problems and users leaving for unlimited deals.

JohnD you seem to be a sheep type, as you follow what your told, rather then ascertain the situation. Example, you will stick with a client model that is one step away from new Tassie's Police Piracy Task Force, old technology, etc. Strange. Yes you’re a person that is based on appraisals and others seeing your position, rather than picking the best options or best potential.

BTW, I don't need to prove to you anything, the point is as long as I have found out for myself, that is the important factor. I am happy to share on an equal level with other minded people that don't limited themselves to stupidity and peer groups. I don’t have a problem letting others follow their own stupidity. Especially in a era of low common education.

Wrong. There is no such thing as the "Tassie Police Piracy Task Force". If you believe so, please provide evidence.

Porkster, you do have to prove your wild, unsubstantiated claims. It's a basic requirement in order to convince anyone of your position. Your posts are so full of inaccuracies, contradications, wild assertions, and unsubstantiated accusations, that nobody believes you. You now have to prove your statements to be taken seriously.

Unfortunately, this is what happens when you act like you have. You currently have no credability with this group, and you will have to work hard to regain it.
