DC might finally have multisourcing.

DC might finally have multisourcing.

Seeing is believing though, as if it does, this would require a new server programming and also divert from the copyrights of DirectConnection Original. Other words if it is a whole new server and client then it's not really DC it a unique model.

Can people write back on the conclusion?

Quote "For now, multi-source means that DC:PRO can download the same file from different users, whoever has a slot free first, like in DC++. "

Arrr the truth is out. Maybe there is still hope though.

btw, I'm still going unlimited and these months I'm finiding it hard to think up thinks to download so I don't have great need for p2p anymore. I'm mainly interested in p2p for world situations.

Its not ready for use yet, but looks promising.
I couldnt get it to work at a stable enough level to be of any use. Too many errors and crashes. I Didnt get to try the multisource as i couldnt get that far without a crash of the client.

Others may have better luck.

A friend showed me it n i thought i might try it
its like alternative searching in dc++ for multi copies of the one files.. doesnt work like kazaa where it grabs bits n pieces but this is very new, and might change the way we use dc, but we will see.
