As you all know I am not one to pass up a good debate so I figured with the elections about to start and topics about religion, politics, or race are easy topics to fire people up, a nice little poll to liven the fourms up..

Obama dislikes video game players...
But I'm throwing him a vote anyway, he's from Illinois.

Both are weak. Obama is the weakest presidential candidate in my lifetime.
I will yet again hold my nose when I vote.

if you dont agree with either of them, then why vote at all?

Hard times are coming for the world if Obama becomes president.

I will vote becuase one candidate is less inclined to move us toward socialism. I am also 99.99%(except in the extremely rare case where the mothers life is in danager) against abortion.
Let's not start the abortion debate here.
I also believe that our Supreme Court should interpret our Consitution not create law. If the people want changes we have an amendment process that should be followed.

Gawd, this is the worst election duo I can recall. Nixon vs. McGovern in 1972 was probably up there, but I was a snotty 10-year-old kid back then with zero interest in politics. Never were two presidential candidates more in need of a reminder of Robert Heinlein's famous T.A.N.S.T.A.A.F.L.* acronym as these two -- especially after McCain voted for that financial-bailout package here in the USA this week.

The financial bail out was bad enough but now he wants to buy morgages at government expense and refinace them at the current market value!!!
So If I was stupid enough to buy a million dollar house with adjustable rate and it's only worth 500k now that I now can't afford I get it refinanced at tax payers expense @ 500k!
Socailism is here. We are now Canada and France.
The only reason to vote for McCain now is supreme court judges.
This is soooo bad....

I agree Swalmie. I really like Newt Gingrich but I doubt he'll ever run for office again.

Yes, Newt is great and would be a great president.

For damage control: you vote for one schmuck because the other schmuck is even worse.
Makes me pine for Euro-style parliamentary politics. Well, almost.

Well if the candidates we have to choose from are the best trained monkeys that are available then maybe I will run for the next presidential election, after all if they can do it then I couldn't do any worse for this country.
Anyone want to be my campaign manager?

I'm beginning to be inclined to agree. Just why does America take so long to even get to the point where you choose a candidate let alone put him or her forward all to vote? Yes, I am genuinely curious.

Sadly it looks like McCain is just looking to tie Obama to dodgy folk. Not good form
Anyone else think that he looks like he could fall asleep at any moment. Like Abe Simpson??
