Alright, sorry everyone my mind is kinda scattered with various projects, college, job hunt, other video games coming out, and starting a web comic hopefully

i recently bought Dark Star One which is a flight sim that took up 6 gigs of my hard drive, but i'm also going to get Battlefield 2142 and SW EAW Forces of corruption (can't wait to use the Ewok sucide bombers  )

so this is going to be a busy month for me and i may not be on SWG that much, just thought i'd let you know

alright my MOB family DSO as we are now calling it is great,

story line interesting: check
graphics great: check
flight great: check
invative flight control: check
lots of goodies for the ship: check

by flight control i mean, if you have a programable joystick use it if you got it, strafe, pitch, roll, reverse thrust, boost, you name it you can do (but you cant play multiplayer or fight like in BSG  ) for 30 bucks it's a deffinate buy plus you have 300+ star systems to fly around in plus some side missions dirt side (fancy lingo for on planet)

only draw back i can really find is that if you get really invlolved with the story line it's difficult to go back to other system, but to correct that always land on the systems space stations, but if you dont it has the occasional mishap of crashing to the desktop and when it tells you what the hell happened... It's in German

i bought it wednesday and have played it for a grand total of 24 hours in 4 days :morning:

ditto

After talking to Danen for awhile on the phone yesterday about the game I had to check it out. I think it was installed and controls setup about two hours after I got of the phone.

A little rough around the edges but if you like the old privateer series or elite or perhaps jumpgate it's a must play.

I wonder how does it compare with the "X" series of games.

After a lot of forum reading and fighting stability issues I now reccomend avoiding this one like the plauge.

Sadly though it promises to be a great game currently it appears to only run well on the system it was designed on it is too unstable and picky to be any real fun and so far I've spent about an hour playing a five hours rebooting and tweaking.

As of now im mildy unstable on one system and cannot even load on another. Both are fairly high end PC's one ATI and One Nvidia. (It hates ATI with a passion)

Man i dont have that issue if you have an Nvidia card you're good to go, i guess it just doesnt like you but if you want we have an extra video card up here.

YOU wre one of the lucky ones, and my old BFG 6600gt will work but its like getting the old dos based games to run (lots of tweaking).

Starting with a Format c: then WinXP then strip the op sys down. Basic driver set and nothing extra loaded it runs great. Been at it for 8 hours solid with no problems. Its just a poorly programmed game is all.

alright beat DSO, total star wars cliche. Now i'm also starting to notice that my computer is locking up more then it ever has, so avoid this game until the developers make a couple of patches. i can understand that it is a new game and new games are usually rough, but come on, this is alittle to rough.
