Design Leadership Update

As many of you are aware, Thomas Blair (Blixtev) is taking over for Kai Steinmann (Helios) as Lead Designer on the project. Thomas is going to continue to enhance and expand SWG by following the work that Kai began last year. Helios (Kai) lead the design of the profession expertise systems, the GCW improvements, the targeting and combat changes, and generally worked at every step to improve SWG as it stands today. In short, he and his team (of which Thomas was a part) were responsible for the significant improvements you've seen throughout the last year. Those improvements are going to continue.
There is some confusion on the boards as to which designers were responsible for which changes and some concern about the future design of the game. While I understand the concern over change, let me assure you that Thomas and his team are dedicated to improving and expanding SWG in the manner you experienced last year. The types of tumultuous changes brought about by the NGE, of which Thomas and Kai were not a part, will not happen again.
The SWG design team is focused on continuing to bring you more of the kinds of game play you want, chapter by chapter. And I ask that you judge each feature or change from here on out on its own merit as you get a chance to play it. In fact, the Trader and Entertainer improvements are available on Test Center right now.
I invite you to go play them and tell us what you think
