As reported in
EU Cantina...
On July 3rd, 2008, LucasFilm filed for trademarks for the following:
- Star Wars The Old Republic
- Star Wars Sagas
- Star Wars Legends
The trademarks have been registered for “Entertainment services provided on-line by means of global and local area networks, namely, providing interactive computer game software, interactive video game software and interactive computer games and interactive video games, all on-line by means of global and local area networksâ€
The article provides a hyperlink to what it says is a copy of the
document filed by LucasFilms on July 3 for the trademarks, and goes on to note that this is the same format LucasFilms/LucasArts used for filing for their trademark for
Star Wars: Galaxies.
My question: Anyone know if EU Cantina is a reliable gaming-news site? I'd never heard of it before.

Here's a link to the LucasFilm copyright application as found on the offical US Patent and Trademark Department's website:
http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regs ... y=77514507
So, it's officially confirmed that the EU Cantina document is no hoax.

LOL... yeah, that's a bit of an oddity. I could swear at times that any website that's PHP-formatted will do that from time to time. I see it every now and then on the SWG-EMU Forum, in which sections that a moment earlier had checkmarks denoting unread content mysteriously updates itself to remove the checks marks.
