Engineers breaking-up WWII U-boat

Engineers have started a month-long operation to break up the only World War II German U-Boat in the UK to turn it into a new tourist attraction


Shame they insist on breaking it up. I'd rather see a ship in one piece, how it was meant to be, rather than little sections.

The Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago has a complete WWII submarine on display. I don't recall for sure if it's a US sub or a German U-boat -- haven't been back since I was a kid lo these many decades ago.

It's a german u boat, the u-505 they still have it, recenty they have started work on it to make it the center piece and more interactive to the public..
