Best network configuration?

My configuration is 1500 sources, max connections 500.

Although this exceeds the recommended in the FAQ and what I can find online, this seems to offer a good range of potential clients to get into queues. As soon as I lose one, I gain another, no waiting around for connections.

I do realise I'm thrashing my connection a bit, but it's all in a good cause, and I'm not using the entire upstream anyway.

In fact when I changed back this configuration from orginal, I had no trouble maxing out my download channel!

What configurations have other edonkey users found useful?

thrashing you are for sure..

i run 500 queue with 800 connections.. works ok..

dont go under 12k upload though, thats why things slow down.

Hello to all,

sorta related, but where do you ppls get your server.met files? I've been using;

but Ive noticed none of the servers listed are nearby. When i got eMule i did a google for australiasian ones but turned up empty handed.
...or isn't there any australiasian ones

the server update met i use is

it has been generally very reliable, but has been down once or twice.

the below are Taiwan and Korean Servers. They have been quite good to me. there are others as well.

I use emule and although sometimes it has got slow, it has always come thru on my 512/128 with uploads limited at 6k

I use http://ed2k.2x4u.de/index.html for mets, seems to work ok.

It's a bit hard to use 12k when that's the whole upstream Anachonrous. I got to reserve some for the rest of the lan!
