My graphics

Unread post by perah » Tue Mar 10, 2009 12:17 am

Yesterday I had to move my PC to another room so we could lay new flooring. When I brought it back and hooked it up I find my screen has a green/yellow tint to it thats really annoying. Removed my gforce drivers and reinstalled em but that didnt help. Any ideas what I can do to fix this? Oh and I tied going into the whatchadingy and adjusting the color but that didnt help either.

Monitor could be going bad, some monitors you can change the tints on and you can also change the setting in your control panel.

As parrot said, the monitor could be going. If it's a CRT monitor (not LCD), then the plug on the back of the tube can often get knocked about when moving them around. However, the most common cause of off colour screens is either a loose plug or cable (the cable and plugs that go from the monitor to the computer case). On some cards, changing the port which the monitor plugs into on your video card can sometimes help, if the card has two ports.

I would have used it as an excuse to buy a new 24" or bigger monitor. ;)

I sneak in my own house.
It's four in the morning
I've had too much to drink
Said i was out with the boys
I creep in my bedroom
I slip into bed,
I know if i wake her,
I'll wake up dead
