SWG files

Unread post by Erdin » Wed Mar 11, 2009 7:03 pm

I'll with the beginning, a few days ago after a hoth run my pc's graphics went pixel crazy and then crashed. Since then i got my pc back up and running after a blue screen error. Now when i try to run swg it lets me sign in and run around for a bit, but pixel crashes to blue screen again. So if i can't fix the crashing, i'm wondering what files i need to copy so i don't have to fix my hot bar settings and such (in case i need a new pc).

I think those are in your profile files but not 100% sure about that

Just copy your profile folder, that contains keymaps, UI layout, Macros and other stuff.

Thanks much. Two time so far after play swg, then getting the pixel screen from hell in to the crash/restart to blue screen error. I chkdsk/r 4 times to get my pc back, starting to get a little old. I think my pc might be on it's last legs or at least something is giving up the ghost.

Its hard to say, but more often than not, it's the Power Supply, especially if it's one of those cheap freebies that come with the case, those things are lucky to make it past 6 months. PSU can cause all sorts of trouble, including graphical issues and crashes.

Though it could also simply be a windows driver issue. If it's a serious issue, it's best to get it checked out by someone who can actually test it.
