Human race will 'split into two different species'

The human race will one day split into two separate species, an attractive, intelligent ruling elite and an underclass of dim-witted, ugly goblin-like creatures, according to a top scientist.

I read this article a few months ago, printed elsewhere. It would be interesting to be able to skip ahead and see if they are correct.
Use of undefined constants causes assumptions!

For those unfamiliar with the story, who want to see an excellent film, go out and rent The Time Machine (1960) with Rod Taylor. DO NOT rent the incredibly horrid remake with Guy Pierce.
