Its like they've tried to recreate all the good parts of "Aliens" and "Predator". Even down the music of the duplicated scenes. It's as though they mashed the scripts together, without much care for order or sense. It should have been called "Alien & Predator"
Replace:
Jungle with Forest
Coloney with small town
Soldiers with Civilians
Jump ship with Chopper
Futuristic APC with Military APC
Ripley & newt with Mother & daughter
Nuked powerplant with Nuke warhead
It made no sense that the Predator skinned the guy in the forest, as he wasnt hunting humans, he was hunting aliens. Especially considering he was going to so much trouble to clean up, only to leave that guys corpse skinned and hanging in a tree.
Notice however, that the Aliens in AVP 1 and 2 hatch a whole lot quicker than in any of the Alien movies.
