if mass effect is KOTOR without the star wars licence, then this is final fantasy without the licence

same creator and composer as FF, and the turn based combat system is pretty much the same as well

plus it looks beautiful

Fixed :P

I don't go much Final Fantasy myself which isn't a patch on BGII ;) If only Bioware would make BGIII...

Thanks Gelf, I was going to correct him on that issue, however, it is Icewind Dale II which is the greatest. Not really a big difference in them, but enough to make the Dale a better game.

Not really no, I just took a shower. But I will give you this, the FF games are the greatest Japanese RPG's out there. I played them from the beginning (can't tell you which numbers, they are all mixed up) and loved each one.

This is pretty much why I haven't ever felt like sampling the FF series, myself. Just don't care for Japanime. And all the artwork I'd seen for FF struck me as sharing Japanime's style.

But Tareena...

...however, it is Icewind Dale II which is the greatest....

NO, NO, NO!! You ALL have it wrong! The All-Time-Greatest RPG is definitely Planescape: Torment!

personally i hate japenese anime
bores the arse of me, but the game play brilliantly and the story in gmae is very well done

throughout the game you reawaken memories, which are told through text.
and even though you are reading to music, they are some of the most emotional things i have ever came across in a game

fantastically done

the funeral part of the game took over an hour

i had to conduct the funeral by burn torches and flinging a dead chick in the sea
