My new "Evil" 3D SLI Rig

Unread post by Cro Mag » Wed Feb 08, 2012 11:42 am

Ok, I finally got around to uploading my new build.

System Specs:
Intel i7 2700K Sandy Bridge 3.5Ghz (3.9Ghz Turbo Mode)
Intel BXRTS2011LC Liquid-cooled CPU Cooler with Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (reviews said the Intel Thermal Grease sucks)
Asus Sabertooth (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel P67 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 1600
SAMSUNG 830 Series MZ-7PC256D/AM 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) "Main Drive"
Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive "Storage Drive"
2 x EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Classified ULTRA 3072MB in SLI Mode
SeaSonic X-1250 1250W 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Fully Modular Cables
SAMSUNG Black Blu-ray Combo SATA Model SH-B123L/RSBP LightScribe
Corsair Carbide Series 400R Graphite grey
Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High-power 2.1 PC Speaker System
Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD audiophile grade Sound Card
Sennheiser PC 360 headset
ASUS VG Series VG278H Black 27" 3D 120Hz Monitor
Corsair Vengeance M90 Black 15 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser MMO mouse
Corsair Vengeance K90 Black/Metal USB Wired MMO Mechanical Keyboard

Window modded the case, parts from Frozen CPU. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14431 ... 42c353s850 Installed by me and my jigsaw, Replaced case fans with Aerocool Shark Red Edition 120mm x5 and Phobya (inspired my SW:TOR Sorcerers new name :P) 120mm PWM Fan x2 to replace the loud as hell stock Blue LED fan on my intel watercooer radiator for a Push and Pull setup.

Tried to go with a dark theme with the red and black to make it look like it"s ready to do my "Evil Bidding"
I wish i had a better camera but the POS made some crappy pics and i could not get a clear picture without the flash on so its hard to see the glow of the fans and water cooler pump which looks nice. Let me know what y'all think :)

I made my wife almost the same system as mine, but she has my old ATI HD5850 1GB Video card, Corsair 750 Watt Power supply, Creative X-fi Titanium (non HD) and the Intel 2600K but the rest is the same except she has blue fans.

Looks good. I see what's been keeping you occupied all this time. I wish I had got myself a case with the HDD bays facing sideways. It would be so much easier.

Yeah you really need to replace that. Mine started leaking yellow snot a while back. I ended up buying a mousepad with one built in, as it was a lot cheaper than buying the wrist pad on its own.
