Essential Points in Setting up Shareaza Client.

1.) Can you view this web page below? If you can’t then you will have difficulty with Shareaza finding your IP’s and reissuing them. This problem can be fixed by allowing your PC to issue IP’s correctly, even though our end will try it’s best to work with SERVER type DNS IP’s.

2.) Install the Client. Download from http://www.shareaza.com/

3) Delete

Press F7 - Security Page.
Delete All Rules and set the Default Rule to Deny. Download the rules pak and add those rule that suit your share style.

Press F8 - Hosts Page
Delete All if any.

Press F9 - Discovery Cache Page
Delete all DCaches, and add a new one with this TEXT below. Set it's type to GWebCache.

4) Set Up your Profile with a name.

5) In SETTINGS

GENERAL > Tick On - “Auto Connect at Start Up”
LIBRARY > Tick On - “Allow others to Browser my Shares” Remove from Never Share - "Partial"
NETWORKS >
Tick On - “Allow this node to become a Hub”, “Force this node to be a Hub”, “Allow this node to become a Leaf”.
Set the value “Hub to Hub” to "50" in G2 area.
Tick On - All protocols tick boxes for G1 and G2

CONNECTIONS > Set your Modem Speeds, Make sure you are using Port 6346 and Don't have Random Ports ticked.
UPLOADS> Tick On - “Share Partial Downloads” Tick Off - "Limit Sharing in Hub mode."


6) Goto The Library Page. (Not in Settings.) Add Folders to what you want to share.

7) Click CONNECT in the top left corner. Press F9 and mouse menu our DCache and "QUERY NOW" to speed up your connection start process.

Making a xFILE up... http://tassyp2p.tripod.com/find_users.html

Then if you need to browse someones files, search for xFile's and browse their IP from the Search Page.

Eg: SEARCH "nsatas x" will produce all users using this conecpt.

Eg: SEARCH "NameOfUser" will produce the User if using this conecpt.


NOTE : Not seeing all people in your Network Page, doesn't mean you can't download or upload to them. The Network Page is only there to show immediate HUB connections. All traffic will flow through and out them over the network!


ROUTER+NAT+FIREWALL People : Try to do your best to open the Port 6346 and allowing UDP and ICMP packets in both directions. Shareaza can work with firewalls but it will slow the request process down for shares.
